EMC CENTRE developed a convenient visual method for determining the specific requirements for the certification of equipment by the TR CU 032/2013

The requirements for equipment   (certification, declaration, the lack of requirements) have a graphical visualization depending on the type and characteristics of the equipment.

Instructions for using the methodology.

1. Open the diagram corresponds to the type of your equipment and a working environment (gases or liquids, Group 1 or Group 2).

Group 1 includes a working environment consisting of flammable, oxidizing, combustible, explosive, toxic and highly toxic gases, liquids and vapors in a single-phase state, as well as mixtures thereof.
Group 2 includes all other working environments which are not assigned to Group 1.

  • Categories of vessels intended for gases used for working environments of Group 1 chart1
  • Categories of vessels intended for gases used for working environments of Group 2 chart2
  • Categories of vessels intended for liquids, used for working environments of Group 1 chart3
  • Categories of vessels intended for liquids, used for working environments of Group 2 chart4
  • Categories of steam, hot water boilers and vessels with fire heating chart5
  • Categories of pipelines intended for gases, used for working environments of Group 1 chart6
  • Categories of pipelines intended for gases, used for working environments of Group 2 chart7
  • Categories of pipelines intended for liquids, used for working environments of Group 1 chart8
  • Categories of pipelines intended for liquids, used for working environments of Group 2 chart9

2. Place the area specified characteristics of the equipment (operating pressure, diameter / volume) on the chart.

  • Equipment has to be declared if characteristics area falls within the zone of Category 1 or 2.
  • Equipment with the range of characteristics corresponding to Categories 3 and 4 requires a mandatory certification.
  • If the range of characteristics of the equipment is out of any categories zones on the chart, the procedures for certification or declaration is not required.
